Cataract is when the lens of our eye, whose function is to focus the image on the retina, deteriorates and loses its transparency, turning into ground glass.

Cataract is the loss of transparency of the lens in our eye. As a result, the image and light cannot pass into the eye. The clarity and quality of vision decreases, vision becomes hazy.

In cataract surgery, the damaged natural lens of the patient is dissolved and removed, and an artificial lens is placed in its position. The average lifespan of the human lens is 65 - 70 years.
